Q: What is your new, innovative idea to create lasting social change?

For nearly 12 years, ABC4All Co-Founders, Burton Danet and Robert Chew have been developing concepts for “A Better Community for All (ABC4All).”

This work has brought to the forefront knowledge and information that includes advanced technologies offering outstanding promise for the future of the world with ability created to offer “ABC4All WorldSolutions.TM” http://abc4all.net/worldsolutions.htm

Former President Clinton well outlines the facts of current critical global conditions in a speech given accepting the TED Prize: http://www.ted.com/index.php/talks/view/id/85. Many documentaries have been, are being and will be created demonstrating the problems. In fact, global degradation is referenced “ad nauseum,” given the fact that sharing concerns about the issues makes no dent in their resolution.

WHAT THE WORLD NEEDS NOW: Global Humanitarian Relief

An ABC4All document describes, “What The World Needs Now,” in which the facts also are confronted but there is presented a concrete, comprehensive global plan of MANDATED ACTION outlined aimed at embarking upon Global Humanitarian Relief: www.prweb.com/printer.php?prid=430582 and http://abc4all.net/wtwnn.htm

Q: What drew you to this issue? When and how did you come up with your idea?

A Better Community For All has been in development for nearly 12 years, in close cooperation with many individuals, as reflected partially in the ABC4All Dedication: http://abc4all.net/dedication.htm, but particularly with Robert Chew, who was intimately involved with so many aspects of generating ABC4All concepts. Appropriately Bob became Co-Founder.

When originally introduced to Burton Danet, Bob suggested a name change from Partnerships for a Better Community (PBC) to A Better Community For All (ABC4All) as that places the entity at the top of the alphabet. That is how ABC4All was born. Bob also assumed the role of Vice President of Business Development, given his many areas of relevant expertise.

The implementation of ABC4All included the personal achievement by Burton Danet of unimagined "health heights" including, but not limited to, those related to the consumption, since 03/04, of Plasma Activated Water (PAW). There was little doubt that by making available the technology represented by PAW alone, that ABC4All will offer to the world outstanding relief from humanitarian crises, even if no human ever drank this blessing for the world. http://abc4all.net/pawquickreview.htm

Q: As specifically as possible, demonstrate the need for your organization. Use statistics and references

It is well known that in many parts of the world, there are critical humanitarian problems related to water, food and shelter. The basic needs and rights of 1.8 billion people are not being met, causing untold premature illnesses and deaths. With the existence and prevalence of such conditions, they continue to be tolerated. With urgent issues also facing everyone alive on the planet, it is clear that Mandated Action on a comprehensive scale is required. Until now such a broad approach to global solutions that will benefit mankind has been sorely lacking.

Certainly there have been extraordinary contributions that improve conditions. But a comprehensive, community-wide approach that can be adapted to local conditions and circumstances for any area in the world seems more vital than ever. A pervasive and dedicated course of action is needed that will receive global support, for any social, political or religious persuasion...no one individual, group, community or country is able to bring the planet we all inhabit to a state of being habitable in a way that will be totally beneficial to all. For nearly 12 years, such a comprehensive approach has been in development.

Q: What’s the root cause of this problem? How does your idea tackle this root cause?

When there is a lack of caring for those suffering the most in the world, then priorities are in need of reordering. Wars are fought at great expense rather than devoting even a portion to humanitarian relief. Leaders of the world tolerate conflict rather than help save lives. A healthier water and application of advanced energy/agricultural technologies will bring the potential for humanitarian relief wherever it is needed throughout the world in emergent/non-emergent situations. Many major issues (e.g., pandemics like Avian Flu or contamination of foodstuffs by Escheria Coli) can be avoided with currently available technologies. Rather than the creation of major efforts/systems to tackle compromises to healthful living, a means to both "feed the world" and prevent health challenges from arising in the first place will allow diversion of untold dollars into humanitarian relief.

Existing advanced technologies will make possible more efficient use of any community or country's resources. In short, The ABC4All Legacy http://abc4all.net/legacy.htm makes possible new opportunities that have not existed before. From http://abc4all.net/wtwnn.htm and http://abc4all.net/opportunity.htm

Q: Specific programs that your organization will engage in to deliver your long-term outcomes

Among the advanced technologies offered are Plasma Activated Water (PAW) and Magna Verno/Magna Vita http://abc4all.net/worldsolutions.htm The scientific data collected by the Hydro Enterprises for PAW is in the form of independent laboratory testing/field tests: http://abc4all.net/HydroEnterprisesStory.ppt

At the Hyperion Water Treatment Plant in California, sewage water with billions of bacteria was put through the reactor, with virtually ALL bacteria destroyed. Any source of polluted water can be transformed to potable water in emergency/natural disaster settings or in locations where people are bathing in/drinking polluted water.

Dr. Danet's recovery from myriad health problems, after consuming 9.5 pH PAW, has been documented via before/after medical laboratory data: http://abc4all.net/guiness.htm PAW, however, does not have to be consumed by humans in order for anyone to know that it represents Global Humanitarian Relief. Validity data from HEI confirms this conclusion. Clinical studies will be conducted to study PAW systematically with regard to human consumption. Similar documentation of proven advanced agricultural practices has been validated by Super Absorbent Company.

Q: Describe your long-term desired outcomes. How will you measure your progress toward these outcomes?

A: Agricultural demonstrations offer objective measurements of produce outcomes: The Mittleider Method is proven scientifically.

HEI Team has objective measurements/data already collected and shared regarding PAW.  Clinical studies with PAW will be undertaken regarding human consumption. Burton Danet's paper has been published in a peer review scientific journal: "Observations on consumption of Plasma Activated Water" Burton N. Danet http://thejsho.com/iarch.aspx and http://abc4all.net/casereport2009.htm

Q: Explain how your idea is truly innovative. Identify other organizations that are addressing this issue and how your approach is different and has the potential to be more effective

Existing technologies will make possible more efficient use of any community or country's resources. In short, The ABC4All Legacy makes possible new opportunities that have not existed before. From http://abc4all.net/wtwnn.htm. See also http://abc4all.net/legacy.htm and http://ab4all.net/opportunity.htm

The unique aspect of ABC4All is the creation of a comprehensive plan to address local issues in a community/country no matter what they may be. Vital Village represents a total solution that can be adapted to meet local conditions.

Q: Building a new organization is challenging. How are you entrepreneurial? Describe your skills and experiences that demonstrate you can lead a start-up organization

ABC4All is fortunate to have the business/entrepreneurial skills of Robert Chew, member of www.CEOSpace.biz. He is involved with a network of CEOs from all over the world wanting to cooperate and collaborate rather than compete. His expertise with regard to the One Page Business Plan (OPBP) is being utilized by ABC4All: http://oneagebusinessplan.comhttp://abc4all.net/go.htm

Burton Danet is Director of the ABC4All Global Mentoring TEAM Project: http://projects.tigweb.org/abc4allglobalteam with 750 ABC4All Mentors in 108 countries. Local ABC4All has launched in 11 countries: http://abc4all.net/localabc4all.html Mentor Of The Week (MOTW) pages are archived for permanent reference: http://abc4all.net/mentoroftheweek.htm and http://abc4all.net/mentorarchives.htm ABC4All eCommerce creates opportunity for Self-FUNding4All: http://abc4all.net/ecommerce A new portal avoids internet threats with a next-generation web platform that does not require HTML: http://trunity.net/abc4all The website 1in1Billion http://1in1billion.net offers a means to create funding/resources to bring the assembled Vital Village Team to pioneer countries wanting a demonstration of the technologies. http://abc4all.net/consortium.htm

Q: Why are you uniquely qualified to lead your specific organization? Describe your experience working with this issue and population

Originally trained as a clinical psychologist and psychoanalyst, Dr. Burton Danet brings many skills to undertake a facilitating role as ABC4All Co-Founder. His original published paper, "Personal Therapeutic Principles," became the basis for the creation of ABC4All Principles, just with a shift from application to individuals/small groups to larger groups - communities and society/the world. http://abc4all.net/principles.htm The actions of mentors across the world are a testament to how so many take the concepts of ABC4All and make them their own. It is never known how people will respond to concepts. It turns out that ABC4All has established itself as a CELEBRATION OF ONENESS Movement and is here to stay: http://abc4all.net/coomovement.htm A good early example is the country of Somaliland, where local mentors created "Local ABC4All Community Empowerment Day." As a result of this all day event, 22 scholarships for children have been donated every year since. http://abc4all.net/abc4allsomalia.htm Many NGOs run by ABC4All Mentors are provided with support in the form of free web pages/design, editing, consultations, etc. Once established, the Legacy of ABC4All will do its good work in the world regardless of who the founders were and who is administering ABC4All. http://abc4all.net/legacy.htm

Q: How much money have you fundraised to date? Who is your largest funder and what is the size of their grant? Provide an estimate of your total budget for each of the next two fiscal years

As a grassroots organization, ABC4All has operated without funding. A major theme throughout has been Robert Chew's focus on the potential to create in the face of lacks:

"The Challenge to survive with limited water, limited means and sometimes, no money and no budget at all, has never stopped us from creating...The key has always been to never give into the lack of anything."

Q: Why is co-leadership a superior model for your organization, compared to a single leader model?

The modus operandi in their working relationship that Robert Chew and Burton Danet have created is exemplary. Each brings unique qualifications to the partnership that offers a means of support and action that would likely not be possible by one person alone. There is constant communication/consultation by phone whenever needed, via email and occasional in person meetings.

Robert Chew introduced Burton Danet to PAW: http://abc4all.net/bc.htm. It is not possible to thank him, but it is possible to dedicate the rest of my life to facilitating Global Humanitarian Relief (GHR) for the world, also Bob's goal. Bob has served as Pastor to Senior Citizens in his local community for more than 20 years and often ministers to ABC4All Mentors where needed. Further, he acts as a volunteer staffer for CEOSpace.biz. He is developing many projects for a better world independently of ABC4All, but clearly ABC4All will benefit from such expertise.

Q: How do you know each other? Describe the history of your relationship, including any shared work experiences and how you decided to create this organization together

A mutual associate introduced us, thinking we had much in common. How right this person was. The desire to help create a better world is a common theme among our respective pursuits. All of the developments since our introduction have produced access to information and technologies that represent a blessing for the world.

ABC4All WorldSolutions http://abc4all.net/worldsolutions.htm render much suffering unnecessary and effectively create “The Beginning of the End of Human Suffering:” http://abc4all.net/eohs.htm

It was Robert Chew who suggested the name change from Partnerships for a Better Community to A Better Community For All (ABC4All) which is how ABC4All was born. Bob has authored "BCNEXUS" as a way to share with the world the history/developments of our mutual efforts: http://abc4all.net/bcnexus4.htm

Q: In a co-leadership model, titles help people understand what each partner does. What will your titles be? What will each of you do within your organization?

Robert Chew: ABC4All Co-Founder, Business Consultant - with ability to bring business acumen, financial considerations to any activities ABC4All will need to undertake. His educational background and participation in financial matters early in his career are also relevant. As one example, he has studied water for 30 years and is very knowledgeable about all the issues and types of water that exist in the world.

Burton Danet: ABC4All Co-Founder, Facilitator, brings a broad range of expertise and talents to the work of ABC4All. His skills including the ability to ferret out key contacts and to make appropriate introductions over the years to Bob Chew has been a prominent feature in our work together. Burton Danet originally referred Bob to CEOSpace.biz (then called IBI Global): http://abc4all.net/ibi705.htm Bob joined within 48 hours and brought his wife and son to the first week-long intensive training. He continues as volunteer staff. Please see the resume of each: http://ab4all.net/profile.htm

Q: What is the decision-making process for your organization? When the co-leaders have opposing views, how do you resolve the issue?

There is continual communication/consultation over time. When differing views arise there is opportunity for each of us to consult with other associates and return to mutual discussion with resolution and appropriate action. There have been rare instances, for example, where a few ABC4All mentors had to be removed from the project. Some instances have occurred where people were negative and disruptive rather than cooperative. These situations are discussed and resolved as needed. Clearly our mutual intent to bring relief to the world prevails over any personal disagreement that might arise between us.
