Shalay Art

Hello my name is Talona Shalay Young.

I’m originally from St. Paul, Minnesota located in the United States of America.

I have an undergraduate in the field of Psychology from the accredited institution of California State University, San Bernardino. I work diligently with students, families, and the community as I pursue my graduate degree as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.

I have painted for The White House, national organizations and public figures such as comedian Steve Harvey, the Tuskegee Airmen, The National Council of Negro Women and many others.

As a motivational speaker, my inspirations come from ideas of success and triumph. I create my own stories to share with mankind. I love stories that describe our greatness. Some of my favorite stories are found in the Bible and throughout global mythological tales.

My most passionate inspirations come from photography and the human body in motion. I enjoy photography because pictures have the ability to permanently capture intense moments of the human figure while in motion.  My most common mediums are acrylic and spray paint but one day I wish to master oil paints.

Mentoring children of charities is also a passion of mine. I work with children who have cancer, Leukemia, Autism, homeless children, battered  children, and children who face daily challenges. Providing a means for the young children to be proud of what they are chosen to endure is a top priority. I also provide fashionable beanies to our young heroes in order for them to feel beautiful. I want them to be able to walk with their heads up. They deserve it!

As an artist, I love to experiment. I feel that the sky is the limit and I believe that my painting will forever reflect humankind’s progress.
