Are we Friends? or Are We Friends?
The reason why i wrote that way is just simple.. "A Friend" and "A Friend" Please read these lines and you may know, I am not weird :) Dying alone is a modern phenomenon because there is a lack of extended family..... Everybody has a story to tell and I think it is time people around the world to understand that this is a temporal world and also like scientists would say everything is illusive yet spirituality and temporal world goes hand in hand. There is something peculiarly modern about this phenomenon, something aligned with our privilege of having too much... Oh yes.. the problem with us is that " we have too much from un important things" In the old days, you would know someone had died because the milk bottles would pile up on the doorstep... right? That 's what my Granny always said.. Now, with so much more online shopping, we seem to have cut down the need for human contact. Ahem :) ...'With Face book, you tube and social networks, we are so over-connected and sometimes seems that we have too many friends... wow.. over 5000 friends and over 400, 000 fans and in youtube, you can even buy subscribers !? :) seems funny for me but it is the truth For me it is quality that counts and not quantity.. With a little click we become friends Are we then really friends? Sure there are many here whom i would tease, share my worries and many more... Yes they are my siblings or friends... But the rest? Are we caring for the others really or are we doing this just not to feel lonely ??? Are we here to help the others or are we here , cus it is boring at home? :) Na? Did I catch myself? Did I catch you? :) I know many would stop reading what I am writing now as I am stepping on their toes I am srry :) but I am not only stepping on your toes, I am also stepping on mine too :) But I am not doing this to hurt anyone,instead I am doing this to heal this planet I am trying to wake you up and bring you back to the truth you are Do not just stay where the party is; instead go around where the sufferings are. There are a growing number of people who die with no friends or family to notice. Some have mental health problems and find themselves detached from the world. Some are elderly and have outlived their families. No living relatives could be traced. No mourners attended her funeral. Sometimes there is no explanation and they have simply sunk without trace And most of these people are protector of others. Yet when they become vulnerable themselves, there is no one to help there. Choices, everywhere !! Youtube, face book, twitter, nings, my space, etc... And since our capitalist culture has encouraged us to think of everything as a consumer good, why not love? And if we can get our TV channels, Internet sites, houses, cars, neighborhoods, and everything tailored to our specific preferences, why not look for the same in friends? The consumer culture has destroyed love in our society. Not only are people conditioned to believe that they can treat relationships as a flip through the Face book, You tube, Catalogues,etc , it's possible that our society is so selfish and narrowcasted that we can't deal with people with different viewpoints and life experiences anymore. To turn away from friends have become so easy If we do not like him just delete his address in email contacts If we do not like him, just delete him from face book Ohoh... now some may delete me also for telling the truth!? :) And we call these friendships? Human relationships? Humm.. then i rather go out and make freinds with nature ... Can this be that many friends we have on our list in Youtube or in Face Book are just masks we wear to make ourselves feel good? It cannot be... instead It is the truth in most of the cases... I have many good friends i can rely on and i would go till to the end of the world with them also online as freinds.. but this is very rare... Perhaps this is the price of affluence: When we're awash in goods, we lose the bonds of common humanity. We've learned to embrace our possessions and easy friendships so tightly that we've forgotten how to embrace each other. Now that we believe we don't need each other, we can't stand each other because we think we do not need those around us anymore because we have thousand other relationships in the net. I hope that somewhere, someday there are some people who still believes in our common humanity is out there, searching, and they would run into each other . This would reduce the lonely people on this planet This would be one of the first steps to heal this world This would be the first step to enter Golden Age, where we can embrace each other without these technical helps I did not mean to step on anyone’s toes But I can no longer close my eyes and ignore what is happening in this world Please always be aware of “ Not all what shining is Gold” Thank you for taking time In gratitude, Theonesoul |

They all came back here, and they all just volunteered their time. They did this because they wanted to honor Michael, and they know that Michael would have done something for Haiti if he were here, and we wanted to do it in his honor. All these people worked so hard just to do it, just to be here. They didn't get paid. So many people we asked to be here, and they wouldn't come if they weren't going to be paid. All these people put so much time and effort because they wanted to raise money for Haiti. So I really, really appreciate your time and your hard work, and I hope you'll come back next year. (Applause) (Next year is going to be bigger and better!) I think it also shows what you can do if you really want to. You can just do it. We're not a big production company. We didn't have any money. I'm from Pennsylvania, and I'm a single mom with 4 kids. I think this shows what you can do if you really want to. You just go and do it. So I want to encourage all of you. It did not turn out as big as we wanted it to, but it happened, we're here. So I'm excited about that....All of this happened because people cared and volunteered their time. Yours is one spot on the globe. The globe is massive. Your relatively tiny dot, however, has EQUAL OPPORTUNITY to help make the world a better place.
